Childline Ireland is a 24-hour national listening service for all children and young people (up to and including 18 years old). It is a private, confidential and non-judgemental service which is free to use. It is part of the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC) charity.
Childline can be contacted by calling 1800 66 66 66 or chatting online at childline.ie 24 hours a day, every day. Children who have used this service talked about any issue at mind – whether they feel upset or isolated, or to chat about their day and share their hopes and dreams. You don’t have to have a problem to talk to Childline.
Childline provides talks to schools and clubs, campaigns for children’s rights and talks to adults who are concerned about children. The website is an excellent resource for information and advice on various topics – including friends, home & families, bullying & abuse, and education & work.
