Let’s talk about HIV

As part of our campaign to tackle misinformation and stigma surrounding STIs among young adults, we have recently organized our Instagram videos into guides, which you can easily access here.

Many questions posed during our workshops revolve around HIV and AIDS, highlighting both the existing stigma that unfortunately is still associated with HIV and the curious interest students have in this topic. Dr. Eoghan De Barra, Infectious Disease specialist from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, offers clear and factual responses to all these questions.

To access this guide, visit: Let’s talk about HIV

We start from understanding the difference between HIV and AIDS, we dispel some of the myths still associated with HIV, we then delve in how the infection works, how it is treated, what “undetectable viral load” means, and ways to prevent the spreading of the infection.
