Debunking The Myths featured in the Irish Medical times

We’re thrilled to announce that ‘Debunking The Myths: The Science Behind Our Sexual Health’ was recently featured in the Irish Medical Times for winning the prestigious RCSI Education Innovation Award 2025 at the RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences International Education Forum!
The award recognises our work in helping Irish teenagers better understand sexual health, bust harmful myths, and challenge the misinformation they often encounter online. The award was presented to Dr Zara Molphy, project co-lead on behalf of our incredible team at RCSI’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
So far, we’ve reached over 17,000 students in 166 schools, across 26 counties, delivering expert-led events, educational resources, and social media campaigns designed to spark curiosity and create safe spaces for open conversations —bringing trusted, evidence-based information straight to the classroom.
The initiative has also been recognised by Research Ireland, the HSE Sexual Health Programme, and the Department of Health as a leader in sexual health education.
As Professor Jan Illing of RCSI put it, our work is “a transformative contribution to Irish education and public health.”
We’re so proud to be part of a movement that’s making sexual health education more inclusive, engaging, and empowering for young people across Ireland.
