In understanding contraception, we encourage young people to make informed sexual health choices by emphasising the importance of planning and communication with their partner(s). Learning about various contraceptive methods helps young people to understand the range of options available and their respective effectiveness, allowing them to choose what aligns best with their preferences and needs. Understanding contraception empowers young people to take control of their reproductive choices, fostering a sense of agency and autonomy over their bodies and futures.
