Lesbian STI testing Ireland: Dublin Lesbian Line have created a list of places for STI testing and treatment in the Republic of Ireland. This includes centres in Carlow, Clare, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Laois, Limerick, Louth, Mayo, Monaghan, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, and Westmeath. It also links to the postal service from the IFPA and Lloyds Pharmacies.
Debunking the Myths would like to add that regardless of your sexuality, you can get STI tests from many GPs, student health services or NGOs (for example HIV Ireland) but you may have to pay for your test.
In addition to this, free home testing is available in every county across Ireland from SH24. Anyone who is aged 17 or over can order a free STI test to their home or to any other valid postal address in Ireland.
At ‘Debunking the Myths’ we recognise the importance of inclusivity when it comes to sexual health information. It is important for all sexually active individuals, including WSW, to get regular STI (sexually transmitted infection) tests and seek appropriate treatment. It’s worth noting that the specific recommendations for STI testing may vary depending on factors such as sexual practices, number of partners, and individual risk assessments. It’s best to consult a healthcare professional for personalised advice and guidance on when and how often to get tested based on your circumstances.
Our sexual health workshops are dedicated to providing accurate, and comprehensive sexual health education to all individuals.
